If you haven’t already read this article, please do. It’s so true, we’re telling little kids (the article focuses on little girls, but in my experience, the problem runs both ways) that physical and verbal harassment are forms of acceptable affection. What the what? Parents, teachers, childcare workers, this is a great reminder to be cognizant of the subtext in what we tell the children in our life. Great post.
